1. 앞으로 일어날 수 있지만 내 의지대로 되지 않는 상황.

2. 현실과 반대되는 상황
- If it rained, I wouldn't have go.
3. 아직 일어나지 않은 일이지만 일어날 수 있거나, 일어날 수 없는 상황.
- If I go there, I will call you.
Example
John never reads the newspaper. He doesn't know what's going on in the world.
-> If John reads the newspaper, he would know what was going on in the world.
- John이 실제로 신문을 읽지 않기 때문에 이 경우는 현실과 반대되는 상황, 즉 2번 상황.
1. John doesn't dress well. Other students make fun out of him.
-> If John doesn't dress well, other students make fun out of him.
solution: If John dressed well, other students wouldn't make fun out of him.
현실과 반대되는 상황이기 때문에 Condition 구절은 과거, Result 구절은 Subjunctive입니다.
2. John doesn't play any sports. He doesn't have many friends.
-> If John was play any sports, he would have many friends.
solution: If John played sports, he would have many friends.
was play -> played, condition: 과거, result: subjunctive.
3. John doesn't like to study. He's not prepared for his classes.
-> If John like to study, he would prepared for his classes.
solution: If John liked to study, he wouldn't be angry with him.
condition: 과거, result: subjunctive.
4. John is often absent. The professors are angry with him.
-> If John is often absent, the professors are angry with him.
solution: If John weren't often absent, the professors wouldn't be angry with him.
condition: 과거, result: subjunctive.
5. John reads comic books in classroom. The professors furious.
-> If John reads comic books in classroom, the professors furious.
solution: If John didn't read comic books in classroom, the professors would not be furious.
condition: 과거, result: subjunctive.
